But with your help, British Heart Foundation can give more hearts a chance.

Graham Sharples had this to say,

‘’Firstly, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and City Demolition for the speed and efficiency when undertaking the demolition of the adjacent property to the Sea Cadet unit.

The work was undertaken with minimal disruption to the adjacent school or the sea cadet unit. It was a credit to the staff from both City Demolition and the sub-contractors, all of whom carried out their tasks professionally.

Secondly on behalf of the Wolverhampton Sea Cadets I would like to extend my thanks to City Demolition for the £300 donation and to DJL Fencing and Macdonald Tarmac who both have each donated £100. I would be grateful if you could pass on our thanks to both companies.

Ironman Martin!

We would like to congratulate our Health and Safety Manager Martin Kettle on completing the Ironman 70.3 Staffordshire Triathlon. An amazing achievement and he absolutely smashed his £1000 goal raising little over £2000 for The British Heart Foundation!!

See below Martins thoughts on his experience.

I am an Ironman 70.3 finisher! It has taken me a few days to reflect on the experience and appreciate that it was a great day and a really well organised event.

The smile at the finish was one more of relief that I had completed the course after crashing on the bike, losing my water and energy drink bottles plus spraining my ankle on the run. However, as with life and business, the road may not be smooth or things go according to plan, but it is how you cope with set backs, re-evaluate strategy and come up with a new plan to be able to continue and produce a result. That and some plain stubbornness to never give in!

A massive thank you to everyone who has donated to the Just Giving page; just over £2000 has been raised for the British Heart Foundation which far exceeds what I expected and is hugely appreciated.

City Demolition Named on £1.1bn Demolition Framework!

We are pleased to announce that City Demolition Contractors have successfully secured a place on the Pagabo £1.1bn demolition and land preparation framework!

Martin Set to Take on The Ironman Challenge!

Our very own; Martin Kettle (Contracts/Health & Safety Manger) will be taking part in the Ironman 70.3 Staffordshire Triathlon! He is hoping to raise £1,000 for The British Heart Foundation!

Please read Martin’s story below on why the British Heart Foundation charity is so important to him;

”On 12th June 2022, I will be swapping hi-viz and hard hat for lycra and bike to take part in the Ironman 70.3 Staffordshire Triathlon. I am hoping to raise £1000 for the British Heart Foundation.

This triathlon event involves a 1.2 mile swim at Chasewater Park near Cannock followed by a 56 mile cycle route culminating in a 13.1 mile (half marathon) run around Stafford. Average finishing time is around 6 hours.

My connection with BHF is that I suffered a heart attack in 2014 at the age of 42 and seemingly fit. I will always be thankful to the health services that were able to diagnose and treat me so quickly plus provide rehabilitation that has got me back to the level of fitness required to take on this challenge.
It is the research that British Heart Foundation have funded over many years that made this possible.

Any donation would be gratefully received and make a difference to help improve and save the lives of many people with heart and circulatory diseases.”
