20-25 Legge Lane, Birmingham B1 3LD – Conservation Area

  • This contract consisted of the establishment of welfare facilities, site management  and the supply  & erection of a temporary heras fencing to the complete site boundary to prevent any unauthorised access form the general public.
  • These works were located within a narrow one way street known as Legge Lane with various student accommodation blocks adjacent and also various protected/listed buildings falling within our site boundary that were constantly monitored during the demolition works which included various vibration equipment which was imported to site to make sure no surrounding properties were effected during our works.
  • To co-ordinate & isolate the disconnection of various services located onsite in order for us proceed with the demolition of each building structure.
  • To supply labour and resource in order to carry out the controlled removal of asbestos based materials highlighted within the asbestos reports issued and dispose of in accordance with current regulations, consignment notes for each load issued to client on completion.
  • To carry out a soft strip exercise to part of the building removing and disposing of all fixtures and fittings within the building premises offsite to nearest local recycling stations.
  • To carry out the part careful dismantle/demolition directly next to protected/listed buildings down to floor slab level, all non-crushable arising’s to be removed offsite to various recycling stations. All brick concrete/material to be crushed to a 6f2 specification and stockpiled onsite for client’s re-use.
  • To sweep of existing ground floor slab and trim off protruding bolts flush leaving site free from hazards such as trips and falls.
  • To supply and erect various styles of permanent fencing to secure site on completion.
