  • This project consisted of the establishment of welfare facilities, method statements, site documentation, plans of work and the supply & erection of a temporary heras fencing enclosed with monoflex to the complete site boundary to prevent any unauthorised access from the general public/University students working within a live university during the demolition & associated works.
  • To carry out full dilapidation survey to all areas prior to demolition works commencing.
  • To supply and erect temporary newt/amphibian fencing barriers to Natural England/English Nature Great Crested Newt Guidelines to prevent any accessing the site during the demolition & associated works.
  • Watch and brief surveys carried out prior to any works commencing and removal of roof coverings to allow specialist ecologist to survey all areas to ensure no protected species were present before we started. Erection of bat boxes and bat roosts to surrounding trees.
  • To carry out protection measures to all trees TPO’s in the vicinity of works undertaken with various styles of protection matting & fencing.
  • To carry out the controlled removal of non-licenced asbestos based materials highlighted within demolition/refurbishment asbestos reports and dispose of in accordance with current regulations.
  • To carry out the initial soft strip exercise and removal of all fixtures within the building structures and disposed of off site to various recycling stations. Hand held dust suppression used during these works during the soft strip process/demolition.
  • The demolition and site clearance of Eight Student Accommodation building structures within Warwick University down to floor slab level, all arising materials removed offsite to various recycling stations.
  • To break up and excavate ground floor slabs/hard standings and foundations to the depth of 1.5m and dispose off site all demolition arising’s were removed offsite to various recycling stations.
  • To grade up site to adjacent levels leaving site free from hazards such as trips or falls.
