Ironman Martin!

We would like to congratulate our Health and Safety Manager Martin Kettle on completing the Ironman 70.3 Staffordshire Triathlon. An amazing achievement and he absolutely smashed his £1000 goal raising little over £2000 for The British Heart Foundation!!

See below Martins thoughts on his experience.

I am an Ironman 70.3 finisher! It has taken me a few days to reflect on the experience and appreciate that it was a great day and a really well organised event.

The smile at the finish was one more of relief that I had completed the course after crashing on the bike, losing my water and energy drink bottles plus spraining my ankle on the run. However, as with life and business, the road may not be smooth or things go according to plan, but it is how you cope with set backs, re-evaluate strategy and come up with a new plan to be able to continue and produce a result. That and some plain stubbornness to never give in!

A massive thank you to everyone who has donated to the Just Giving page; just over £2000 has been raised for the British Heart Foundation which far exceeds what I expected and is hugely appreciated.
