Vauxhall Aftersales, Luton

This sizable project was located on land that was occupied by the existing Vauxhall Aftersales Warehouse on Luton Road, adjacent to the M1 motorway, 450m south-west of the M1 Chalton interchange (Junction 11a), approximately 6 miles to the north-west of Luton town centre.

The overall size of the site was 55 acres – 100,000m2 of building and 100,000m2 of hardstanding tarmac and pontoons. Scope of work included, asbestos removal, soft-strip, structural demolition, foundation removal, on-site crushing, and site grading.

We provided a fully in-house resourced solution for this client, handing back a clean, clear site ready for follow-on re-development works. To support our client to meet their project sustainability target and continue our commitment to sustainable practices, 90,000 cube of graded 6F2 was produced from the hardcore, of which 45,000 cube was stockpiled for re-use in the proposed redevelopment.
