Faces Night Club, Wolverhampton.

A further example of an inner-city centre project that required the skill, experience, and expertise of a competent local contractor.

In the role of Principal Contractor, this project comprised of the demolition of the former Faces Night Club; a tight inner-city project with the metro tram line and terminus to the frontage plus a college within a few feet of the building; also, a major vehicle route serving central Wolverhampton ran immediately adjacent and numerous other commercial properties close by.

The project involved removal of asbestos, demolition of structure to ground level, removal of slabs and foundations plus basement and crushing of suitable hardcore to 6F2 specification for re-use as engineered backfill to the basement and across the site.  We supported the client appointed geo-environmental team during the testing and validation of soils underneath prior to backfilling.

The demolition was carried out using several techniques including hand de-construction working from an access scaffold and MEWPs; remote robotic demolition internally and mechanical demolition using both High Reach & Standard Demolition Specification 360 excavators fitted with a selection of specialised attachments.
